Dear TOTNES Business Earlier in 2011 By The Dart magazine (www.bythedart.co.uk) the popular monthly publication for Dartmouth and the surrounding area, launched a series of Business Boost seminars, including a free course by local internet consultant Simon Wishy entitled "the Myth of Internet Marketing", a ground-breaking seminar based on his forthcoming book. The seminar proved so successful that we have repeated it four times, with further requests for seminars pending. In response we are pleased to announce that “The Myth of Internet Marketing” will be held on Thursday 17th November in the ballroom of The Royal Seven Stars Hotel in Totnes - 9.30am to 12.15pm, with light refreshments provided. We are confident that businesses in Totnes and the South Hams will benefit as much as our other attendees. The attendance list is compiled on a first come first serve basis, so booking is strongly advisable as places are limited. We suggest that attendees arrive at 9.15am to ensure a prompt start. To register, please email mark@bythedart.co.uk or call 01803 732959. Regards,
Mark Simpson

About Simon Wishy
Simon Wishy has a portfolio of work that includes companies such as Google, Yahoo!, Accenture, American Express, and CNN. Since arriving in Britain from America 13 years ago and settling in the West Country, he has cultivated a growing client base, developing and overseeing projects for a number of national as well as more local businesses, ranging from Thomson Directories in Hampshire to Austins Department Store of Newton Abbot. He has also been a speaker at World Travel Market, Internet World, and has participated in the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco.
The Myth of Internet Marketing This seminar is designed to educate business owners and senior managers on how to develop an Internet strategy that delivers the target audience to their site at the lowest possible cost. Reaching page one on Google is a common goal that is only worthwhile if the placement generates enough revenue and profit to cover the cost of getting there. Looking at your on-line operation in isolation as a profit centre is the best way to achieve success on-line. Most managers responsible for making critical decisions about The Web are not aware of all the methods available to drive qualified leads to their site, so another aim of this seminar is to equip attendees to take more control of their on-line marketing and associated costs. Running time approx. 2:45
